Love Island fans divided over Whitney and Ella's 'sudden' change

Our Summer essential is back! ITV2 and ITVX aired Summer Love Island’s 46th episode tonight and 10 sexy singletons embarked on an eventful journey of love. Show host Maya Jama has entered the villa twice with unexpected twists in this series and viewers are loving how messy this series is.

A lot has happened in the villa in the last 5 weeks from Casa Amor's dumping and brutal Movie Night and the unexpected dumping in the villa after public votes led to sending 2 couples home. With about 2 weeks remaining for the show, the villa doesn't have the kind of connections that usually win.

Love Island's Ty and Ella v/s Whitney and Lochan

Love Island bosses may have wanted to twist things with the last dumping, but naming Whitney and Lochan as the favourite couple may not have been the best idea - especially for Whitney and Lochan. Islanders have been different with them since the announcement and much to Whitney's surprise her bestie in the villa - Ella seems to have turned on her too.

Meanwhile, Ella and Ty have clearly been moving with the mindset that being voted the favourite has gone to Whitney's head.

Tonight's episode (July 20) saw Whitney and Ella have probably their only and biggest argument.Whitney appeared to be upset thatElla voted her as the 'most smug couple' in the honesty challenge. Meanwhile, Ella didn't like the way Whitney called her selfish.

Love Island fans divided in Whitney v/s Ella

Seeing the two fight and put their points forward, ITV viewers have a very divided opinion on the ongoing beef. Some feel that Ty and Ella are speaking from a place of bitterness as they are jealous of not being voted the favourite couple. They Tweeted:

Ty defo put the battery in Ella's back to go at Whitney. Ty is salty he isn't publics fave. They're both jealous. NARCISSIST traits.

Many others also defended Ella as they felt a sudden shift in Whitney after being voted the favourite couple. They wrote:
