King Charles coronation preparation reveals he is currently in a vulnerable position

King Charles’ coronation is a bigger deal for him than just being crowned the king of the UK. The monarch, reportedly, is scared that even a small mishap could overshadow his entire reign considering his previous unpopularity as the heir.

King Charles scared of things going wrong on coronation

According to The Sun, King Charles wants to deliver an ‘oh so perfect’ coronation so badly that he’s re-scrutinising every little detail of the ancient ritual. Not only is he the only monarch to be this vulnerable about his coronation, but he’s also the first monarch to have so much media pressure on him.

The King has been planning his coronation for more than 20 years now, confirmed Tom Bower in his article for The Sun. The big day would be here in just six weeks, he’s afraid that if anything goes wrong, the impressions of that will be ‘used by future historians as their foundation to judge King Charles III’s reign.’

It is understood that the King and Queen are rehearsing every detail to ensure that the King doesn’t trip and fall or mistakenly tilt the majestic crown. Apart from these little things, the King wants to leave his mark on the world that dissociates him from his previous mistakes including his marriage with Princess Diana and his affair with Camilla.

The acceptance Camilla has received from Britons is not accidental, but rather it has been carefully plotted by the King over the years. Camilla has now become an ‘invaluable support’ for the King. Additionally, the monarch has family worries that could steal the limelight or ruin his big day in the name of his youngest son Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and his younger sibling Prince Andrew aka disgraced Duke.

King’s 6pm limit

Not only is he taking every precaution to avoid any mishaps, but the King has also planned to end his day before the coronation at 6 pm, reported Mirror. This comes as the King doesn’t want to do anything that would tire him out for the ceremony.

On the eve of the coronation, the King is due to host a reception for Commonwealth leaders and a dinner at Buckingham Palace. However, he is believed to sink off early and head to bed. Whereas Queen Elizabeth attended a banquet the night before she was formally crowned.

One major reason for the difference exists in the ages when the two monarchs were crowned. At 26, she was far younger than King Charles at 74 - the oldest sovereign ever to be crowned.
