Prince Joachim and Princess Marie to join Harry and Meghan in US
The Danish Prince and Princess are moving from Paris to Washington DC in the summer with their son, Henrik, 13, and daughter, Athena, 11, as Joachim begins a new job at the Danish Embassy.

Danish Royal couple unhappy about stripping of titles
Joachim revealed to Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet how he was given only five days' notice before the announcement was made. He said:

Joachim also addressed the issue to another Danish newspaper BT, saying:
To tell my children that on New Year’s their identity will be taken from them. I am very, very sorry to see them uncomprehending about what is happening over their heads...More under this adMore under this ad
I can say that my children are upset. My kids don’t know which leg to stand on. What they should believe? Why should their identity be removed? Why must they be punished in that way?

The Royal Household defended the decision, saying it was made in accordance with 'the Queen’s wish to future-proof' the monarchy. However, Princess Marie told a Danish tabloid that 'there’s nothing modern about hurting children’s feelings'.
