White House defends Joe Biden over videos of him freezing on stage: ‘We're seeing these deep fakes’

The USA 2024 election game is getting tricker by the day. From accusations about Trump such as him wanting to execute people during his tenure to doubts about Biden doing a second term at the age of 81, the two famous political leaders are at the target of new claims every day. In line with this, the Democrats' leader was subject to many viral videos recently that showed him freezing up or zoning out at significant events.

The videos stemmed from his recent travels to France, Italy, and a fundraiser in Los Angeles. The White House has condemned these videos as ‘cheap fakes’ made in ‘bad faith’ against the president.

The White House, on Monday, claimed that these videos of President Biden appearing lost or confused at G7 or his recent fundraiser with former President Barack Obama are false depictions of what really happened. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted that these videos have been edited in bad faith to and issued the real unedited videos to show the difference, reports MailOnline.
Jean-Pierre said:

Both in Normandy this happened and again in Italy. I think it tells you everything that we need to know about how desperate Republicans are here.
And instead of talking about the president's performance in office, and what I mean by that is his legislative wins, what he's been able to do for the American people across the country, we're seeing these deep fakes, these manipulated videos. According to The Standard, the videos in question are from Biden’s recent public events. This includes:
- Footage from a star-studded campaign fundraiser on Saturday where it appeared that Obama had to escort him off the stage.
- Footage from G7 in Italy where Biden seemed to wander away from the other leaders until Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni redirected him.
- Footage from his his trip to Normandy for D-Day anniversary.
Donald Trump challenges Joe Biden to a cognitive test
The Republican presidential nominee has regularly criticised Joe Biden over his gaffes. Amid his recent viral videos, Trump questioned Biden over his mental intellect and urged him to take a cognitive test. Speaking in Detroit, he said:

Seconds later, he continued and said:
Doc Ronny Johnson. Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history, so I liked him very much indeed immediately.
The Sky News reported that Trump was actually talking about Dr. Ronny Jackson and not Johnson.
