Volodymyr Zelenskyy has predicted that Vladimir Putin will be killed by one of his own allies in a new documentary.

A new documentary was released on Friday 24 February called A Year, produced by journalist Dmytro Komarov, to coincide with the one year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin will be 'killed'

Zelenskyy predicts that Russians will eventually feel the 'fragility' of Putin's leadership, which will spur his own inner circle of close allies to take action against him, and eventually kill him. He said:

There will certainly be a moment when the fragility of Putin's regime is felt in Russia. Then carnivores will eat the carnivore. It is very important, and they will need a reason to justify this. They will recall the words of Komarov, of Zelenskyy...They will remember. They will find a reason to kill the killer. Will it work? Yes. When? I don't know.

About the documentary A Year

According to Ukrainian online newspaper The Odessa Journal, Dmitry Komarov was the first journalist who witnessed and filmed the horrors of the newly liberated Bucha, Irpin, and Gostomel. He also witnessed first-hand the emotions of people immediately following the de-occupation of the Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions.

The documentary presents Komarov’s view of the war with exclusive comments from those behind the scenes of Ukraine’s war effort.

Shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine last year, Komarov, who hosts the program World inside out, was included in the list of 'enemies of Russia', as reported by Ukrainian NGO The Institute of Mass Information. He announced this on his Facebook page, saying:

Congratulations! Honorary title "Enemy of Russia" from the Committee to Protect National Interests. It means I live honestly and I am not ashamed to look people in the eye. And the group of us "enemies and traitors of Russia" is interesting. Makarevich, Klitschko, Grebenshchikov, Navalny, and others. Under any circumstances, it is very easy to determine which side is lying. The one that introduces total censorship, forbids people to open their mouths, and destroys the independent media. It introduces lists of undesirables.

The two-part documentary can be watched on YouTube with English subtitles.
