Tesco, Asda, Lidl and co issue urgent recall of popular products

Some major supermarkets in the UK have stopped selling several products due to health concerns. Tesco, Asda, Lidl issued the recalls for a variety of reasons, including undisclosed ingredient. Some of these products could pose serious health risks if consumed. The retailers are cautioning consumers who have purchased these items to return them for a refund. Here are some of the affected items.

Bramswells Tartare Sauce
The sauce which is typically served with fish has been found to contain sulphites which have not been mentioned on the label. Although rare, some people are allergic to this chemical and could experience symptoms that range from mild wheezing to life-threatening reactions, especially among people who have asthma, according to Cleveland Clinic. The FSA in a statement warning the public about the labelling error said:
More under this adMore under this adDue to mis-packing, Bramwells Tartare Sauce labels have been incorrectly applied to Bramwells Horseradish Sauce. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.
Happi Free From Oat M!lk Chocolate Bars
Happi Free From is recalling 80g pack sizes of Oat M!lk Chocolate Bars. The product which is supplied to Tesco, contains milk, although that was not mentioned on the label, making it a health risk to anyone allergic to milk or milk constituents. The company has issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

The above product contains peanuts and sesame which are not mentioned on the label. It is therefore being recalled as it could be a possible health risk for anyone allergic to peanuts and or sesame. The recall has had to be amended as the initial one did not list sesame as an undisclosed ingredient.

The above sauces have been recalled due to a production fault which has shortened the shelf life making them dangerous for consumption. According to WalesOnline:
