The affected items are among the latest product recalls published by the Food Standards Agency.

Some major retailers in the UK are asking their customers to desist from eating certain items which have now been recalled over safety fears. Morrisons, Iceland Foods and Tesco are some of the shops that are removing the following items from their shelves.

Mars Dessert Bar

Iceland Foods is recalling Mars Dessert Bar because it may contain peanuts and egg, which are not mentioned on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs have been incorrectly packed with Snickers Dessert Bar. The FSA adds:

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts and/or an allergy or intolerance to egg.

Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce

Morrisons is recalling Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce that is under its brand because it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, according to the FSA.

Tesco is recalling Wicked Kitchen Spinach & Wild Garlic Ravioli because it may contain small pieces of metal, making it unsafe to eat. According to the FSA:

The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

According to the regulator, customers who have purchased any of the above items should not eat them, but return the items to the stores for refunds.
