McDonald's customer left 'unbelievably disgusted,' after biting into this inside her cheeseburger

Just as McDonald's is gearing up for the warmer season by introducing exciting new menu items such as new dipping sauces and two new drinks to their summer menu, the fast-food giant has also been in the news for all the wrong reasons, including some shocking revelation of serious violations at numerous restaurants.

Along with this, there have been various instances of customers finding strange and horrifying items inside their food. As reported by Daily Star, in another such unsavoury incident, a mom from Ohio, USA bit into her cheeseburger only to find a mouthful of something extremely disgusting and frankly, horrifying.

Here's exactly what happened.

McDonald's customer finds this inside their cheeseburger

The customer in question, Lyannah Maruna, 19, from Elyria, Ohio, US, brought their terrible experience with McDonald's food to light through their Facebook post. She posted photos of what she bit into, along with a caption explaining what exactly happened.

She describes in her caption how she made a normal order, and took a bite of her food only to make a shocking discovery. In a statement to Daily Star, the customer says,

At first I was confused because I thought it was mould, but after looking closer I noticed it wasn’t mould but a maggot worm or mealworm and I felt so unbelievably disgusted I was holding back throwing up so much!

The customer says that she was left so disgusted that her whole 'stomach was flipping.'

The customer underlined the necessity for everyone to be careful about their food, saying,

I thought I should post it on here tho so everyone knows be careful check your food before eating it, you never know what your eating!!!

Reactions to the horrifying McDonald's find

When the customer complained to McDonald's about what she found, she was offered a replacement burger and two coupons by the restaurant. But she says that she has been put off from McDonald's after this incident and would much prefer a refund. She told Daily Star,

I’ve had some nasty encounters with McDonald’s and I even worked there before and even their equipment is never clean, and gross.

But this worm being in my sandwich pushed me over the edge! I can not imagine getting anyone McDonald’s, or me eating it myself ever again.

Meanwhile, her Facebook post has generated a lot of attention and disgust from people on the Internet, who are equally horrified as her, at the prospect of fast-food from such a popular franchise containing worms.
