Risks of eating uncooked meat or chicken
Eating undercooked food, particularly meat and chicken is a grave health risk. As per CDC, most raw poultry contains Campylobacter, and might also contain bacteria like Salmonella, and Clostridium perfringens. Raw meat may contain Salmonella, E. coli, Yersinia, and other bacteria.
While we might control these bacteria at home by cooking our foods properly, it is essential for restaurants and other places that serve food to people to follow adequate legally-mandated guidelines when it comes to cooking, storing and serving food to customers.
