Unfortunately, one such Happy Meal purchase at McDonald's wasn't really happy for one family in Auckland, New Zealand. As reported by NewstalkZB, a family that ordered food from a McDonald's restaurant at its South Auckland Cavendish Dr branch, was left disgusted and mortified at the contents of the Happy Meal meant for their young child.

A McDonald's customer, Pravinesh Kumar, a resident of Auckland, had one of the worst food experiences of his life. He picked up a McDonald's Happy Meal for his son at the drive-thru in South Auckland Cavendish.
He took the food home and once he opened it up to serve his kid, what he saw inside left him fuming: the chicken nuggets inside were so uncooked that they were 'almost completely raw'. The customer describes his experience saying,

The dejected customer also underlined that things could have turned serious had to handed the food to his young son, without checking on it first. He stressed that 'it could have been a disaster'.

The customer tried to file a complaint regarding the uncooked food, but he states that he found the process quite disheartening, since management at McDonald's in Cavendish, were at first not so co-operative.
However, a McDonald’s spokesperson said their Cavendish Dr branch had since addressed the complaint regarding the incident, and an inquiry has revealed 'human error' to be the reason behind the mishap.

We treat any complaint of this nature very seriously, and the restaurant immediately investigated, including several conversations with the customer to apologise and provide updates.
Food safety tests were all in order, and following a review of CCTV footage, it was determined the cause was human error by a staff member, who lifted the product from the fryer early.More under this adMore under this ad
Investigation on this matter is still under-going, and as per a McDonald's spokesperson, management is in touch with the customer regarding updates, and findings.
