Woman died and came back to life after her heart stopped beating for 45 minutes

Tales from people who have had a near-death experience are the closest thing we can get to knowing what happens after we pass away. A woman named Ruby Graupera shared her ordeal with The Other Side NDE podcast, which was also shared on YouTube. Here's what happened to her.

Ruby Graupera 'died' during childbirth

Ruby Graupera was giving birth to her second child in September 2014 when she had a near-death experience. She had a scheduled C-section, and the operation went well. However, Ruby soon felt she was struggling to breathe properly, and she passed out. She was not breathing for more than 45 minutes, while doctors did their best to bring her back to life. They eventually brought Ruby's family to see her, and they said their goodbyes, knowing there was nothing else science could do. Ruby explained:

I've always had this little saying: when man fails, because he can no longer fight, there is a mystery to life, and God, or a higher source, has to take over. And my sister kept yelling in my ear, telling me to remember what I always used to say.

Suddenly, when all hope had been lost, and doctors were disconnecting Ruby from the machines keeping her alive, they heard a faint heartbeat. She miraculously came back to life, and doctors couldn't believe their eyes.

She had an out-of-body experience

When doctors were trying their best to resuscitate Ruby, she felt herself floating outside of her body.

I didn't have a body, I didn't have legs or arms. I was flowing in all my essence.

She felt herself travelling through a tunnel, before being faced with a 'spiritual being of light', who told her she would stay on the other side for a while, but that it was not her time yet, and she would go back to her life on Earth. During her time there, Ruby says she felt at peace, bathed in love and understanding. She then understood that all humans have got a purpose in this life, and hers was not done yet. Ruby also explained feeling like she was 'going home'.

A lot of people would tell me 'it is amazing that you came back, you must be special' and I think yes, perhaps I am, but honestly we all are. We have such an amazing purpose while we live here, life is the dream.
