Willow Caelan 'died' in a violent car crash
Now 34-year-old Willow Caelan shared her near-death experience with Metro.co.uk. After her first day at her new job, she was driving home when a car crashed into hers. The collision was so violent that her body was 'launched 40 yards' from her car and she landed into oncoming traffic. Willow suffered from torn muscles, temporary vision loss and a massive concussion, but she felt no pain at all. She explained:

Willow said she felt completely at peace, and explains she thinks she visited Heaven.
She says she is no longer afraid of death
Willow's close brush with death was short, and she woke up while her body still laid on the road. She said:
Everyone was in complete disbelief, especially as no one came to check on me since it was almost certain that I wouldn’t have survived.More under this adMore under this ad
In her opinion, her survival is a miracle, as she walked off practically unscathed from a completely wrecked car. In the days following her accident, Willow had a hard time recognising her friends and family, as well as her own self, and she felt like she had woken up in an alternate dimension. Her near-death experience had an impact on her perception of life:
It was like everything was new again; colours were brighter, I became more purpose-driven and I wanted to experience everything. It became clear to me that we never know how long we truly have here.More under this adMore under this ad
Since her ordeal, Willow has left her former job and re-trained as a reikki master, which is a form of energy healing originally from Japan. She explained what she learned from her NDE:
The experience has allowed me to see the beauty of life and our physical reality. We don’t need to sit in what we’ve been through as our definition of self, as we have opportunities each day to recreate who we choose to be.More under this adMore under this ad
I feel so much more connected to my soul. Dying isn’t something to be scared about, it’s just another state of being.
