Meet Lady Di's two nieces

Lights. Camera. British magazine Tatler went all-out for the cover of their March 2021 issue, on which you'll see twins Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza, Lady Diana's nieces, striking a pose. Until now, the 28-year-old twins have been really good at dodging photographers and photocalls.

But that's very likely to change. Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza are the daughters of English model Victoria Lockwood and the Princess of Wales' brother Earl Charles Spencer. The twins are also the sisters of Kitty Spencer (30) and Louis, Viscount of Althorp (26).

On top of emulating their mother and posing in front of the camera, the twins were exceptionally candid with Tatler magazine in sharing memories of their aunt, Lady Di, who passed away in August 1997 in a tragic car accident in Paris.
At the time of the tragedy, the twins were 5 years old, and their parents decided to move to South Africa to get away from the paparazzi. Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza, therefore, weren't aware of their aunt's worldwide popularity until much later:

The twins remember going for a walk on the beach with their auntie and spotting the paparazzi, who were very eager to take pictures of their little family:

But she turned it into a game of who could get back to the car first. It was amazing how she protected us in a way that made us feel safe and not frightened.
