In the past, sunbathers tanning their entire bodies was a typical sight in Fraisthorpe, East Yorkshire. However, a series of dogging incidents led to a council ban in 1994. Police choppers even went to spy on disrobed rule-breakers After almost 30 years of fight, nudists will now be allowed to go naked on the beach after East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s lease was returned to the Crown Estate.

King Charles lifts the ban on nudists going naked
Naked tourists will now be allowed to hang out again in a 1 km stretch of sand. According to The Sun, new guidance on behalf of King said nudity was ‘not expressly permitted’ but was ‘not prohibited’ either.

Fraisthorpe and nudist rules
Crown estate owns Fraisthorpe since 1760 and it was a nudist beach for 40 years before the ban before becoming popular with families and dog walkers. Andrew Welsh of British Naturism insisted that despite issues at Fraisthorpe, naturists ‘simply want to get an all-over tan in the company of like-minded people.’ Nudity was banned at Holkham, Norfolk, in 2013 after complaints about swingers became frequent in the region.
