According to TheMirror, 25-year-old Colson Smith has impressed ITV bosses and is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house after securing a ‘huge deal.’ Colson has been playing police officer Craig Tinker in the ITV soap Coronation Street since 2011. He first appeared in Corrie as a 13-year-old and instantly became one of the programme's much-loved residents.

The source claimed show bosses feel that Colson has everything it takes to be a Celeb BB champion. They added:
Colson's character Craig is a huge favourite with soap fans and he's just as likeable and down to earth in real life so don't be surprised if he ends up winning the whole thing.
This comes after Colson shed a whopping ten stone after deciding to overhaul his lifestyle during COVID-19. He often shares snaps of running and jogging on his social media. Additionally, Sarah Ferguson was also tipped to be one of the celebs to join the cast.
