After the scandal was revealed, Phillip Schofield quit his TV career and has been living a quiet life in Cornwall. It was announced this week (19 February 2024) that Ben Shephard was replacing Schofield on This Morning and Stephen Mulhern is filling in for Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby.

Phillip Schofield signed a non-disclosure agreement
As reported by Mirror, the former This Morning host signed a mutual NDA with his ex-lover, who is 34 years his senior. Schofield admitted to lying about the affair and that it was ‘unwise but not illegal’.

It is also believed that Schofield has helped his former lover financially with his legal costs as well as his financial losses. Indeed, as per Mirror, Person X quit his TV career as well after the scandal broke out. It has not been disclosed how much Schofield has reportedly paid his former lover.
A source told Mirror:
Person X instructed [Phillip's lawyers] to seek from Phillip Schofield payment of his substantial legal costs in dealing with the media to protect his privacy, compensation for the loss of his job and home, and other financial losses suffered as a consequence of the media coverage of their relationship.More under this adMore under this ad
Another source added that the NDA will allow Phillip Schofield to ‘sleep a lot better’ as if the details about their relationship came to life, it could be even more devastating for him.
Phillip Schofield a hypocrite?
As Phillip Schofield is seen in public for the first time in a while, a source has claimed that the former This Morning host is somewhat of a hypocrite. The source explains that Phillip has asked for an NDA but last year, after the scandal broke out, he gave a tell-all interview with the BBC giving details about the affair.

Schofield was spotted in Cornwall walking with one of his two his daughters Molly, who he claimed in the BBC interview were his pillars during the difficult time. Schofield was seen holding a small black puppy in his coat which he has reportedly adopted to have some company as he now leads his quiet life in the country.
