The criteria for an ideal penis

The study was carried out to discover what criteria women consider important when it comes to a penis that will satisfy them. As you'll soon find out, certain qualities are not necessarily required.

In this test, the researchers asked a panel of 105 women aged between 16 and 45 to rate the appearance of 20 male genitalia and select several aesthetic criteria in order of importance. On reflection, the observers concluded that women focused first and foremost on the overall cosmetic appearance of the penis (absence of pustules or pimples), followed closely by the amount of pubic hair dotted around.

Is length an overrated criterion?

The girth, along with appearance of the glans and of the scrotum were surprisingly all criteria that came much further down the list of priorities. Length, it will reassure many to know, appeared at sixth place out of eight.

It should be noted, however, that during this study, the phalluses presented had all undergone foreskin removal, and half had required surgery to correct hypospadias (a fairly common malformation characterized by the positioning of the urethra on the lower part of the penis). Lastly, and equally surprisingly, the curvature of the penis was not selected as a criterion either. Another study found that 85% of women were satisfied with their partner's penis size, while only 55% of their corresponding partners felt the same about their own bodies.
