Are you an iPhone person or an Android person? Is your phone white, black, or red? This is what your phone says about you.

It goes without saying that gone are the days when your phone was simply used to call or text. Even before, mobile phones have made huge statements on TV screens, from Carrie Bradshaw to Serena van Der Woodsen, to Andrea Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada – phones are a part of our identity, whether we like it or not. I mean, in case we haven’t looked around, phones are probably the only possession that’s with us the entire time.

If we look at smartphones today, the biggest competition seems to be between Apple and Samsung. While the latter has cultivated an image that its customers are cooler, the former continues to command brand loyalty.

However, according to research conducted by Heather Shaw et al, it was surprisingly found that ‘iPhone users displaying lower levels of Honesty-Humility and higher levels of emotionality.’ By the way, how is that cracked screen doing?

Android – While you indeed might be cooler, your camera, unfortunately, isn’t, or at least that’s what everyone with an *cough* iPhone thinks. On the bright side, the same research published in the Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking journal holds that Android users are more honest.

What colour is your phone?

White – Chances for you being a neat freak and having a clean person aesthetic are high.

Black – You feel like you are the main character because you ‘don’t really care’ and you’re just *different*

Blue – You are stylish, and you want to stand out from the crowd.

Red – You are expressive and love attention, but deep down you are empathetic.

Gold – You care about other people’s opinions about you, and if it happens to be a gold iPhone, you want other people to see your social standing.

Nonetheless, sometimes the colour and type of your phone are overshadowed by different phone cases and other accessories, so you should take it with a grain of salt.
