To help budgeting Brits cope with the cost-of-living crisis, Boots has released their own ‘everyday’ range consisting of 60 products that cost under £1.50 each. The products span from common toiletries to period products and are ‘easily identifiable for customers, so they can find the lowest-priced options easily and simply’, says Boots.

The Boots promise
Cheaper prices do not mean cheap promises, however. Boots assures its customers that ‘the new range comes with the Boots promise of trusted quality, based on decades of research and science.’

At a time when many people are facing choices between heating and eating and we’re all bracing ourselves for a winter of feeling the pinch more than ever, I am delighted that we’re able to offer a no compromise range to help customers make small everyday switches to help save money. Jessie Boot, who founded the company over 170 years ago, believed that quality products should be accessible to everyone, and I am delighted that the new everyday range delivers on those founding principles.
The ’everyday’ range, released online and in over 1,000 Boots stores, follows Boots’ Price Lock Promise, in which the price of over 1,500 Boots own-brand items have been frozen until the end of the year. It also comes after the expansion of Price Advantage sales using the Boots Advantage Card, which saves customers an average of £2.65 per product.

According to the Money Saving Expert, the ‘everyday’ range at Boots, while affordable, is not always the cheapest option. Competitors Savers and Superdrug offer competitive prices on many own-brand products.

At Boots, however, own-brand shampoo is significantly cheaper than at Savers and Superdrug, costing 75p compared to £1.49 and £2.99, respectively.
While it can be a hassle to shop at 3 different drug stores for different hygiene essentials, it seems that Boots is not the only high street health and beauty chain taking strides to offer the best deals to customers on a budget.
