Vladimir Putin: ‘2023 will be very dangerous’ for the Russian President, claims senior Russian MP

Speculation about Vladimir Putin’s health seems to be never-ending, with documents allegedly confirming the Russian President has pancreatic cancer and early-stage Parkinson’s disease.

Vladimir Putin 'very tired and felt weak'

It was 'bombshell spy documents' leaked to The Sun that allegedly confirmed Putin’s diagnosis. Telegram channel General SVR also made claims about the Russian President’s health following his latest appearance in Volgograd. The channel stated that Putin 'did not have fun' during his meetings and public appearances on the visit. It continued:

By evening, Putin was very tired and felt weak, doctors were invited to see him

After the next course of therapy, the president has not yet come into shape, and it is not yet clear whether he will come at all.

Former head of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, also reiterated his belief that the Russian President is suffering from 'either Parkinson's or blood cancer'.

A 'sudden' and 'violent' end to Putin?

Dearlove repeated his theory that 'it's quite possible they just shuffle him off into a sanatorium and say he's unwell, and then he doesn't reappear'. He told The Sun on Saturday 4 February:

Talking to someone from central Europe who I regard as pretty well informed, he said you have the preconditions now for there to be a pretty sudden end to Putin's administration, or to Putin himself.

It's impossible to say when that is going to happen. He's definitely in a very difficult place - there's no question about that.

I think you have preconditions for his disappearance or collapse - which could be violent.

Oleg Matveychev's warning

It comes as Oleg Matveychev, a member of the pro-government United Russia Party, has warned that the Russian President may be overthrown by 'turbo' or 'ultra patriots' due to discontent over the Russian military's failures.

In an online interview cited by The Times, Matveychev said:

The situation is not so critical yet but 2023 will be very dangerous.

Matveyche claims that it is supporters of the war who are Putin's biggest threat. According to him, it is these so-called turbo or ultra-patriots who are now 'the only danger to our state'.

One of those is Igor Girkin, a former Russian intelligence officer,while another is Yevgeny Prigozhin, Wagner mercenary chief, who have both criticised the war effort.

In addition, Matveychev expects the ultra-patriots will name a candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, when it is anticipated that Putin will run for a fifth term.
