‘Unsafe to eat’
The mega-retailer is withdrawing its Tesco Arrabbiata Sauce from the shelves due to health and safety concerns.
The product may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means it is a possible threat to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to dairy or its constituents.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) publishes recent food recalls on its website, and issued a statement:

This product may contain milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

You can claim a refund
The supermarket asked its customers to not consume this product if they have a milk allergy and to return the purchase to the store where a full refund will be given.

According to the FSA, sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert.
