It looks as though Russian state TV won't be changing its tune anytime soon, as a host takes aim at countries that have sold weapons to Ukraine.

A Russian TV host has sent yet another warning to all the countries that have supported Ukraine during the war.

Russian TV host wants to punish countries

Twitter account TheKremlinYap shared a video from a Russian TV program with subtitles in English. It features Vladimir Solovyov talking on the television show he hosts Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on the state-owned Russia-1 channel.

TheKremlinYap writes in the caption:

Solovyov proposes to compile a list of countries and politicians who act contrary to Russian interests in order to punish everyone later. What a vengeful man he is!

In the clip, Solovyov claims that 'those countries that even pretend to treat us well are secretly selling weapons to Ukraine'. He then warns:

I would make a list so that no one would have any illusions. I would make such a list so that everyone would be repaid. No one will be forgotten. That is, we will hold everyone responsible in the harshest form.
And I think we need to compile lists of officials from all countries who have decided to sell something [to Ukraine]. It doesn’t matter, from the Arab world, Pakistan, or anywhere.

He then refers to Slovakia, saying:

Those Slovakian fascists. Those b***ards marched with Hitler on September 1, 1939. Do they think we’ll forget it, you scumbags? No, you scum, you’ll answer for everything.
We won’t forgive anyone. To make a list of them all, and then, when there’s a tribunal, to judge them all.

Rare criticism from Russian media

It comes as prominent Russian state media outlet RIA Novostideviated from Kremlin propaganda seemingly for the first time by publishing a report criticising Russian President Vladimir Putin's war.

The report published on Tuesday 28 March was titled 'We didn't expect this', and includes interviews with frustrated soldiers who were injured in the conflict and didn't receive the compensation promised by Putin.

Two guests on Russian state TV have also made the rare argument that the West is more powerful than Russia and have called for the war to end.

A video of the current affairs program Mesto Vstrechi (Meeting Place) on the NTV channel was posted on Twitter by Julia Davis, founder of the Russian Media Monitor watchdog group. In the clip, political analyst Viktor Olevich said:

It's also obvious that the West, having acquired the means to cause constant, ongoing damage to Russia, will not abandon this opportunity, especially since it costs the West much less than the costs for Russia to keep going like this.
