This last week has seen several product recalls for popular items sold in major supermarkets including, Tesco, Iceland, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

The Food Safety Agency (FSA) has shared details on what shoppers should do if they have bought any of the affected products. They have warned in all cases that people should not eat the item but should instead return it for a full refund. It is not necessary to have your receipt in order for you to get your money back.

Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Waitrose have all issued recall notices for Quorn Foods' Frozen Quorn Swedish Style Balls because they may contain pieces of hard white plastic. The presence of plastic could make the product unsafe to eat and is a potential choking hazard so consumers are advised not to eat it.
Quorn advised, as per FSA:
If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, no receipt is required. Creamfields Grated Cheddar Cheese
Tesco customers are being urged to not eat their Creamfields grated cheese as the presence of clear plastic could make the product unsafe.

We’re recalling one date code of Tesco Creamfields grated cheddar 500g. This is because it may contain small pieces of clear, soft plastic which could make the product unsafe to eat.

Iceland has recalled its Cooked Diced Chicken Breast as some packs may contain chicken that is uncooked. The possible presence of raw chicken may pose a food safety risk.
