Walsh could be another victim of the knee injury curse that has been hitting the English team these past few months. Indeed key players like Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Fran Kirby are currently missing out on the competition because of knee injuries.

While at the moment Walsh’s diagnosis is still unknown, there is hope that she could recover, if not for the next match against China, maybe for the rest of the tournament. Indeed, after being carried out, she was seen coming back to watch the end of the game walking with crutches. She looked calmer than when she left the game which is a possible sign that her pain has reduced.
