Capri Sun is one of the most sought-after drinks in the world. It's not only popular with children but also with adults. However, you might want to remove this drink from your shopping list for a while. Recently, Kraft Heinz, the parent company of Capri Sun, ordered to recall of thousands of pouches of the beverage due to possible contamination.

Contamination with cleaning solution
The company recalled many pouches back as ordered by Kraft Heinz. According to CNN Business, Kraft Heinz came out with a statement saying a ‘voluntary recall’ of about 5,670 pouches of the Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend beverages must take place.
More under this adMore under this adReportedly, the cleaning solution used to sanitize the mechanical equipment was ‘inadvertently introduced into a production line’ at one of their factories. They discovered the issue when they received several customer complaints regarding the unusual taste of the contaminated drink.

Although, they did not reveal the exact number of pouches recalled, as per the estimate by NBC News:
Cases are made up of four cartons, which usually have 10 pouches, meaning more than 230,000 individual drink pouches could have been affected.
You can find out if your Capri Sun Wild Cherry has been contaminated by looking for the ‘Best When Used By’ for the date of June 25, 2023, on the 6.6-ounce pouches. Kraft Heinz also announced that they are ‘actively working’ to remove the contaminated drink pouches from any potential stores they might be in.
