Popular messaging app, WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature that’ll make it possible for android users to sync chat history across various smartphones. Industry watchers believe the feature will be rolled out in the next app update on the Google Play Store.

Last year, the Meta-owned company rolled out additional support to allow users to sign in to multiple devices simultaneously. The only shortcoming being you could not sign in to a secondary phone. However, according to WABetaInfo, this could soon change. The speculation is based on a new feature spotted in the new WhatsApp beta on Android phones.

This much anticipated feature is believed to be one that many users have asked for. Some competitor messaging apps like Telegram have had this feature for a long time.
Better late than never
In a recent announcement, Meta founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Android users would be able to transfer their chat history including videos and voice message from Android to iOS, another function users had asked for.
