The dog was completely stuck to the sidewalk
Kindhearted strangers were shocked to come across an adorable pup who had been 'cemented' in the sidewalk and abandoned to dieby a horrid ex-owner in Florida, United States. They then contacted Tri-County Humane animal welfare charity that stepped in and saved the suffering pooch from the pavement.

The charity added that while ‘shaving him down’ they noticed ‘maggots crawling from his fur’ and that his ‘overgrown nails’ and ‘terrible dental decay’ had been festering for some days.
Overwhelming support
According to Tri-County Humane, after hours of grooming, shampoo baths and tests, the vet found paralysis, heart murmur, corneal ulcers, enlarged prostate, worms, severe periodontal disease, ear infections and UTI.

Praised for his resilience in getting through such an ordeal, Trooper got overwhelming support from the online community. A fundraiser for the pooch and the shelter that rescued him has since raised £10,200 ($12,700), covering his much-needed medical care.
