McDonald's staff reveals the one menu item they hate that customers order

While many fast food lovers might visit their favourite McDonald's very often, and feel like they know the place inside out, there are still many facets of the fast-food industry that remain hidden away from customers. Luckily, every now and then, there are McDonald's employees who give us a window into what really happens behind the counters.

Now, a McDonald's employee has revealed why employees at the fast-food giant are annoyed when customers order Happy Meals.

TikToker @Carina.Angelica_ shares snippets from her experience of being an employee at McDonald's. She reveals in one of her videos what is the most annoying part about customers who order McDonald's Happy Meals. Her video is captioned,

I hate Happy Meals

The reason for the annoyance on part of the employees is that McDonald's Happy Meals are made up of a number of components, and while taking the order the employees have to make sure to factor in each constituent menu item of the meal.

The TikTok creator acts out a hypothetical scenario where she shows her taking an order from a customer who wants 3 Happy Meals. Then she proceeds to show how complicated it is to take that order, as some customers do not finish ordering different part of the Happy Meal and proceed to order other things, making it complicated and confusing for the employees.

McDonald's employees have to check off things such as the side, drink and toy for the Happy Meal, which can take a long time if the customer is not precise and mindful of it while ordering.

Reactions to the video

The video resonated with many other McDonald's employees who faced the same issue. One said,

As McDonald’s employee I thought I was the only one who had a burning hate for people who order Happy Meals

Another employee concurred,

They expect us to read their minds and already know what drinks they want

Still another chimed in saying,

I thought it wAs just me that hate Kids Meal!!!
