In a major breakfast menu shake-up, McDonald’s has launched the Mighty McMuffin this festive season. While fans are very impressed with this new item, some fans were left flabbergasted by the ingredient list of the new Mighty McMuffin.

As reported by Mirror, a TikTok account called @mcdonalds0851 posted about this brand new item and showed a short clip of how it is exactly made.The person in the video took an English muffin, spread some clear liquid on the muffin first, then proceeded to add the sauce and assembled the rest of the sandwich with egg, bacon, sausage patty and cheese slices.
More under this adMore under this adThe video seems simple enough but the comment section of the video flooded with fans asking what exactly the weird looking clear liquid in the beginning is.
This video went viral on TikTok garnering more than a million views and a number of comments. However, the video creator has since disabled the comment section which means no one can comment further on the video or read older comments.

Towards the end of the TikTok, the ingredient list of the McMuffin is shown to viewers which lists the clear liquid as being ‘Roast n’ Fry.’
More under this adMore under this adMirror got in touch with McDonald’s to inquire what exactly it is and learnt that it is a fat and moisture agent added to food. The report quotes a McDonald’s employee saying,
Roast 'n' fry is a Liquid Vegetable & Dairy Fat Blend. It is only used on McMuffins, and is also used to season/oil the egg rings.More under this adMore under this ad
It adds moisture to the muffin so that it’s not dry – just like you would butter your muffin or bread at home.
The delicious muffin is available for just £3.99 individually, or £5.49 for a meal.
