Patties
- 1 lb ground beef,
- ¼ cup yellow onion, minced
- 4 slices American cheese
- cooking spray
- salt and pepper to season, as per taste
For assembly
- 4 pcs hamburger bun
- 4 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 4 oz dill pickle, sliced
Preperation
Mix your ground beef with minced yellow onion. Add salt and pepper according to taste and combine everything properly.
- Roll the beef into a ball and then flatten into the shape of burger patties
- Grill the beef patties on a griddle, cooking them for 5-8 minutes on each side
- Add 1 slice of American cheese on top of each patty and let them cook until the cheese is melted. If you do not like cheese, you can skip this step
- Then toast the halved burger buns on the griddle
Assembling the burger
- Slather a tablespoon of mustard one side of a bun, then add a tablespoon of ketchup sauce on the other side
- Place the beef patty on the bun, then layer a slice of pickle on top
- Finish off by placing the top half of the bun and that's it. That's all its takes to have your food assembled in minutes.
- For a double cheeseburger, all you need to do is double the beef patty and the cheese slice.
If you want the crunchy taste of bacon in your burger, you can always add a crispy fried bacon inside. For a classic McDonald's feel, this sandwich is best served with a side of fries or potato wedges.
