The Brighton Crown Court also heard how she launched a campaign to harass the pupil after being released on bail while investigations continued. She even went as far as offering the boy money to drop the charges against her.

You can imagine what kids at school at that age could be like so it seemed like a joke. It’s disgusting looking back now knowing what she then did. She had a manipulative trait and could also be hot headed, especially if she felt under attack. She seemed sexually naive at times.

While the case was ongoing after being charged in October 2020, Hossain tried to fruitlessly to frame a member of the victim’s family by posing as an underage teenage girl online. Her plans to have him arrested and fired from his job fell apart, and she was found out.

She sent messages to the man in a bid to try and get him sacked from his job, and even made false reports to police to try and get him arrested.

Detective Constable Leigh Rankin, of Sussex Police, said:

This was a prolonged and distressing campaign, and we are glad that justice has now been done for the boy and the several other people who became entrapped in Hossain’s web of lies and manipulation.

Hossain, who has a master’s degree in criminology, will spend the next five years, four months in jail. She will also be registered as a sex offender indefinitely.
