Nostradamus' predictions for 2025 include wars, plagues, and floods

Whether you believe in prophecies or not, it is always interesting to know what could happen in the future. While Baba Vanga, a blind Romanian mystic who died in the 1990s, claimed 2025 would be 'the beginning of the end' for the world, a much older psychic saw at least one positive thing happening next year. Fasten your seatbelts, this one is a wild ride.

Nostradamus' 2025 predictions

Michel de Nostredame, also known as Nostradamus, was a French astronomer who lived in the 16th century. During his lifetime, he wrote several books on how he imagined the future of the world, and some of his prophecies have actually turned out to be true. Indeed, he is believed to have predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler, as well as the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the assassination of President Kennedy. So, what does 2025 have in store for us, according to the famous seer?

Let's start with the good news.

Predictions for Europe

According to the psychic, the war in Ukraine should stop next year, as both armies will end up exhausted. He wrote:

Through long war all the army exhausted, so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon.

In Sky History's interpretation, the Gallic brass and the crescent sign of the Moon could be a reference to France and Turkey, respectively. This could mean that the two countries may be involved with the resolution of the conflict.

However, Nostradamus, as well as Baba Vanga, predicted that a new war would erupt in Europe, with consequences over the whole world.

On top of that, he also claimed a new plague would take over both Europe and the UK. Sadly, that's not all.

Natural disasters in Brazil

One country in particular is believed to be in big trouble in 2025. Indeed, Nostradamus wrote that Brazil would suffer greatly, after a possible volcano eruption, which would lead to terrible floods. He wrote:

Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, Forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur.

Football prediction

Some fans believe Nostradamus even had time to dip his toes in the sporting community. An excerpt from one of his books has been analysed, and experts claim it is a reference to a football game. The French astronomer wrote:

The Cock will see the Eagle, its wing poorly finished, By the Lion will it be put into extremity.

Football fans will have recognized this as a clear reference to Tottenham Hotspur (as their crest is a cockerel) and to Crystal Palace (whose nickname is the Eagles). The Premier League 2025 should give us an answer as to what this actually means, if Nostradamus' predictions for next year are accurate.
