A self-claimed prophet, who has been dubbed the 'Living Nostradamus', has revealed that four of his worrying predictions for 2024 have already come true.

Every culture around the world has its own version of seers, prophets, and almanacs. All with the purpose of trying to get a peek into the uncertain future of humanity. Self-proclaimed fortune tellers have sporadically appeared time and time again, such as the world-famous French astrologer and physician, Nostradamus who lived in the 16th century.

These seers are not a thing of the past. Even today, there are some people who claim that they can look into the future. One of them is Brazilian parapsychologist Athos Salomé, aka the 'Living Nostradamus'. He is said to have predicted key events, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the death of Queen Elizabeth.

The so-called seer has predicted some rather intense events for 2024, including a new virus that will sweep the globe. And while that has not happened yet, he claims that some of his worrying predictions for this year are already coming true. The man, who publishes his visions on Instagram has revealed which ones.

Asteroids: a prediction that is yet to be fulfilled

Salomé believes his predictions are no coincidence. Most recently, he spoke to Daily Star about his prediction that an 'asteroid would enter a collision course with Earth by November'. He said that NASA would make an announcement confirming this in September. We are still waiting on that confirmation, but an asteroid did successfully enter the Earth's atmosphere and burned up in the atmosphere over the Philippines.

Moreover, NASA is monitoring an asteroid called 'God of Chaos' which was predicted to have a risk of impact in 2029. New observations ruled out that probability, however, a new study published in The Planetary Science Journal in August has found that its trajectory could be altered if it was hit by something 3.4 meters in size. In the small chance this happens, it could very well hit our planet in 2029.

There are still a few weeks left before the Living Nostradamus can retire this prediction.

Technological failures

One of Salomé's predictions that recently did come true is that of technological failures and outages that would plunge the world into chaos. Indeed, there was one very significant incident that shook the world over the summer—the Microsoft outage.

He announced his prediction back in April, and in July several businesses, airports, hospitals, and emergency services were thrown into chaos due to a global IT failure.

Part of the self-proclaimed seer's prediction was that these outages would lead to an 'escalation of confrontation' and also lead to cyber war. Speaking more on that part of the prediction, he claims that that is an effect that will be playing out behind-the-scenes. He told Daily Mail:

Microsoft's global shutdown, according to the analysed outcome, may affect essential infrastructure with the escalation of inter-state confrontation and lead to cyber war.
Businesses will have to improve the protection of cyberspace, and society might gain concerns over the use of internet services, led to discourses regarding intensive regulation. This event may result in shifts in political actions and military tactics on an international level, and the threat of an international war is real.

Cyber attacks on large events

The Brazilian also predicted that there would be a cyber attacks in large events that would 'capable of causing disturbances in the existing order'—like the 2024 Olympics. As per France 24, in the run up to the Olympics there were over 140 cyberattacks reported. Luckily, they were characterized as 'low-impact' and none of them disrupted the Games.

Salomé said after the Olympics that his hypothesis was right, and that 'the French authorities acted quickly and increased its cybersecurity measures.'

He added:

This is further indication that there is need for adequate and efficient measures of cyberspace protection during significant global occasions.

He also claims that his warnings about 'corporate espionage' are coming true in the biotech and healthcare sectors. He said:

North Korean hacker groups, Kimsuky and Andariel, target these industries to fund Kim Jong-un's policies.

As per AP News, in July a North Korean operative was charged in a conspiracy to hack into several US institutions, including American health care providers, NASA, and military bases. The indictment stated that members of the Andariel Unit of North Korea’s Reconnaissance General Bureau, a North Korean state-sponsored threat group, had access to NASA's computer system for over three months.
