Strictly's Giovanni Pernice hints at his partner for this year’s show after social media update

Giovanni Pernice has been a show staple since 2015 - when he appeared on the show as a professional dancer. The 32-year-old previously won the 2021 series with Rose Ayling-Ellis and is set to return to the show this year.

BBC’s Strictlyannounced the lineup of 15 famous, talented and exceptional celebs, but who would they pair with still remains a question.

However, Giovanni Pernice has made messy moves on social media that have hinted at his potential partner for this year’s Strictly. According to Hello! Magazine, Giovanni Pernice has followed two stars from this year’s lineup.

Among his list of followers, he has added Amanda Abbington and former Love Island star Zara McDermott. Eagled-eye fans were quick to notice the small increase in his following list. They have worked out it either of the two celebs could be his dance partner. Meanwhile, fans previously also speculated that Zara McDermott will be paired with Graziano Di Prima.

Meanwhile, Giovanni's appearance on the iconic dance competition was recently left in doubt after he injured his ankle while on tour. Speaking about his injury, Geovanni revealed:

As you probably know I'm on tour at the moment with Anton, and doing one of the dances I did twist my ankle on stage. I have just been to the doctor, to the physio, and he advised me to rest for a few weeks.

I will still be there to entertain you with my other half Anton Du Beke. We will be singing along but unfortunately, Anton will do the dancing bit.

He added:

This also means that I am going to miss a few of the Strictly professional group numbers, but I just need to give some rest to my ankle and come back stronger than ever for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing - which I'm really looking forward to.
