The text messages also show Connor called his ex-girlfriend 'rank' and 'grim' for sleeping with a black man. Another text discussed our last year's favourite Islander Ovie Soko, which led him to tell Stevie that 'liking black boys' was 'such a put off'.

Friends of the make-up artist told the newspaper: 'It's disgusting that he can send messages like that given who he's paired up with on the show. His ex-girlfriend reckoned he was 'gaslighting' Sophie during his time in Love Island.

While in the villa, fans noticed how possessive and controlling was Connor towards Sophie. When dumped by his co-stars he said:

'I will wait for her. I’m in no rush to meet someone else, we definitely had that instant chemistry when we first met. I did have butterflies, she made me a bit nervous and that was a good nervous, obviously, I really liked her. I haven’t had that for ages.’
