Jamie Lynn's exit from I'm A Celeb was planned for last week but here's why she delayed it

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! campmates are halfway through the second week of the jungle madness. The journey started with reports of venomous creatures and major storm affecting the jungle and now the weather and trials have made things worse for the campmates.

Amidst this Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears have quit the show and won't be returning or be replaced on the show.

Jamie Lynn Spears has been a flight risk since the start of the show. I'm A Celebrity crew have been on a 'high alert.' This comes after a source confirmed that Jamie had been in exit talks with the execs for days.

The discussion included ITV's logistics team and her own management and the exit was planned to be on Saturday. However, winning Climb of Cruelty and Scarena Series buoyed her and delayed the inevitable. The source told The Sun:

Jamie Lynn was a flight risk from day one and while she experienced some highs, excelling in trials and forming special bonds in camp, ultimately she couldn’t get past the lows.

Talks with logistical teams have been underway for days now, with an exit as early as Saturday mooted, then pushed back, after Jamie had a good day or so.

But it proved too much and after Grace left the writing was on the wall for Jamie - it would mean she wasn’t the first one out.

Meanwhile, fans think it was the right decision for her as she appeared to be 'depressed and homesick' in the jungle. They took to X and wrote:

I genuinely think Jamie Lynn Spears was depressed in camp. She didn't seem happy and perhaps homesickness played a determining factor in her departure. I wish her well and hope #JamieLynnSpears gets the help she needs to get back on track.

I get the feeling it was her mental health that was taking the hit. Shame I really liked her but hopefully she’ll be able to chill and see her kids now
