I’m A Celeb: Campmates to take extra precautions as more venomous creatures reported ahead of show

I’m A Celeb is days away from airing with the official lineup heading to Australia one by one. The jungle adventure starts onNovember 19 and will air for three weeks. Although I’m A Celeb is always a tough task for celebs to endure, this time they will have more than just dicky dinners to worry about in camp. Here’s why!

I’m A Celeb camp invaded by venomous snakes

According to The Sun, I’m A Celeb bosses recently removed a number of snakes from the campsite including a few venomous snakes as well. I'm A Celeb'sHealth and Safety Officer Jeremy Douglas admitted that the weather has seen more than ever in camp.

Different kinds of snakes entered the camp area and posed a major threat to the celebs’ safety. Jeremy revealed:

We have had a lot of snakes on the site this year, possibly because it has been so humid.

We have had pythons, and non-venomous and venomous species.

You get small eyed snakes and brown tree snakes predominantly.

Laura Woolf, executive producer of the show, added:

We've had 15 snake sightings across the site and then we've had to identify some venomous ones in camp.

Laura hinted that this risk of such dangerous incidents gets increased once the campmates arrive at the site. She shared:

It gets worse when the celebs come in because they leave food everywhere. It's like they don't realise they're living in a jungle!

What’s more? Snakes aren’t the only dangerous creatures that the stars will be dealing with this time. The camp has also had an influx of blood sucking leeches. This comes after the celebs who vape will have to visit a doctor to get a specialist prescription. Laura shared:

If they want a cigarette they have to request one and go off one by one. They come up to the Bush Telegraph, everything goes through there.

They can vape although in NSW if they want to smoke nicotine they need a prescription. They are trying to cut down on it.
