BGT fans support Bruno Tonioli after his recent goof-up: ‘Golden Buzzer was well deserved tonight’

BGT was aired on Sunday this weekend due to Eurovision’s song contest. As BGT fans waited for the show to air its extraordinary acts for the weekend, they were surprised with the 6th Golden Buzzer - after all the judges and Ant & Dec had already used theirs. Yes, you read it right!

Bruno Tonioli - the newest BGT judge - pressed his Golden Buzzer for a second time for singer Gamal John. What’s more? They let him keep the Buzzer despite being his second.

The viewers, judges and show hosts Ant and Dec were in chaos when Bruno pressed his second buzzer. Reportedly, after Gamal John finished singing, the audience members began chanting ‘press the buzzer.’

Other BGT judges explained that there was no Buzzer left to press, but Bruno was clearly taken by the act as he pressed the Golden Buzzer, reported The Sun. Simon Cowell joked about ‘getting fired’ after Bruno’s rule-breaking, yet let the singer keep his golden buzzer. Simon said:

We are about to get fired!

Having said that, Bruno is a new judge and if you give something you can't take it away.

BGT fans were left confused, as one said:

WHAAAAT?!??! That is just absolutely bizzare!!!!! All 5 golden buzzers have been used, yet Bruno still presses it anyway, seemingly sending Gamal John to the semi-finals, but I am not sure how this is gonna work now.

BGT fans confused yet glad after Gamal’s Golden Buzzer

Many of the viewers and fans took to Twitter and expressed their confusion and frustration with the Golden Buzzer. One wrote:

How embarrassing is it that Bruno pressed the golden buzzer even though they used all of them. Ant and Dec said they had used them all and yet they still let him get through to the live shows it shouldn't be allowed. The show is getting ridiculous and so boring!!!

Another added:

I honestly wonder how Bruno’s other first golden buzzer feels about this. Because honestly i think Ant and Dec, Alesha and Amanda are the only ones staying loyal to their golden buzzer. No one should personally get two for their well being. Even if they are new.
