Actor Michele Morrone (Massimo) reacts to the criticism surrounding the film ‘365 Days’

A few weeks ago, the Polish film 365 Days was released on Netflix. This erotic film, just like 50 Shades of Gray, has become very successful since it was released. But not everyone was so excited by the film…

Michele Morrone speaks out

Of course, this rather original film created quite the scandal. Why? Because of the very explicit ‘non-consensual' sex scenes and the Stockholm syndrome that some internet users deemed ‘exaggerated’.

Although some people immediately fell in love with the actors, 29-year-old Michele Morrone (a.k.a Massimo) and 28-year-old Anna Maria Sieklucka (a.k.a Laura), others were troubled by the film. Following the controversy and all the criticism that they received on social media, the leading actor, Michele Morrone, decided to speak up.

The beautiful man took to Instagram to clear things up:

I wanted to let you know that I am not the character I play. I am not such a bad guy, it’s just a character.

We hope this message reassured the many haters out there, however it did nothing to help with the criticism the film itself received.

Laura, a young woman who goes on holiday for her birthday, finds herself kidnapped by Massimo who is part of the Sicilian mafia. Crazy in love with her, he gives her exactly 365 days to fall in love with and succumb to him and if she doesn't, he promises to return her to her family, safe and sound…

An announcement was released on 18th June which is sure to delight fans of the movie: there will soon be a sequel!
