Even though he is a member of the Royal Family, Prince William isn’t exempt from accidents that can cause scars. The Prince of Wales has one on his forehead!

We’ve all done some stupid things that result in accidents that can leave a physical scar somewhere. Prince William is no exception. Prince William once admitted to almost seriously harming his cousin, Zara Tindall.

The young Prince of Wales was at Balmoral in Scotland and was having fun with Zara and her brother, Peter - Princess Anne’s two children. William and Peter were chasing Zara in a go-kart and made Zara drive straight into a lamppost.

So don’t worry, even Princes do stupid things when young, but that isn’t how Prince William got his scar, in fact, it is a lot more mundane.

Prince William was golfing

In 2009, Prince William revealed how he got the scar on his forehead. He was golfing with a friend:

I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine.

According to Berkshire Live, Prince William was at Ludgrove School in Wokingham, when the accident happened. The accident left a deep gash in William’s forehead that required him to go to hospital.

In the end, the young Prince of Wales needed 24 stitches. The accident took place in 1991.

Prince William isn’t the only Royal with a scar

Surprisingly, Prince William isn’t the only Royal with a scar. Princess Eugenie has a long scar on her back from an operation she had for her scoliosis. For her wedding, she decided to wear a dress with an open back and showed off her scar.

Princess Kate also has a scar on her head. According to Daily Mail, the scar is from an operation she had as a child. Princess Kate has a three-inch scar on the left side of her head, in her hairline. It is not known what the operation was for.
