Prince Harry’s memoir doesn’t ‘trash’ his Royal relatives, claims a friend

Omid Scobie – the Royal biographer of Finding Freedom and Meghan Markle’s friend – offered an insight into The Duke of Sussex’s upcoming memoir as against the rumoured version talked about in the media. Tabloids have reported that Prince Harry’s memoir will ‘trash’ his family, however, Scobie believes otherwise.

Royal Relatives
Scobie confirmed that palace aides have seen a ‘genuine fear’ amongst the senior Royal Family members that the Duke’s memoir will ‘cause irrevocable damage to reputations and relations.’ However, he argues that ‘the book actually offers a more sympathetic look at the realities of their near-impossible existence.’ He wrote in his Yahoo Column:

Dismissing the claims that Prince Harry made last-minute changes in the memoir, he added:
There were also no last-minute rewrites or edits after the Queen’s death. SPARE’s manuscript was completed almost five months before the monarch’s passing, a detail that will be acknowledged in a note at the start of the book.
The Title
Talking about the controversial title, Scobie confirmed that Spare is a title that Prince Harry chose himself. It wasn’t to play the victim but because being a Spare is what his reality has been ever since his birth. Everyone including The Firm and the media houses has ‘frequently used to describe Prince Harry’ as the Spare. Scobie confirmed:
