The Sussexes US home has problems that need to be fixed, it’s a ‘whole story’ in itself and the renovation may begin soon.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lived in an £11 million mansion in Montecito since 2020. The house is named the Chateau of Riven Rock and is designed to resemble a charming villa/chateau of Europe. And as per what Prince Harry recently revealed in The Cut’s bombshell interview—the house needs some fixing.

Harry extends his hand to shake mine and welcomes me to their home. It’s very beautiful, I assure him, not calling him anything at all.

To which Prince Harry remarked:

There are no other mentions of the house in respect to its renovation, however, the Duke stating that it requires ‘fixing’ and it’s a ‘whole story’ was clue enough to know that the house may be in need of a renovation.

Dream home

Another interesting mention of the house included the story of how the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex ended up buying the house. The property is said to have two palm trees, which were apparently a huge selling point for the couple. Meghan revealed:

One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees. 'See how they're connected at the bottom? He goes, 'My love, it's us’

Apart from the major selling point, their house has everything that royalty would need. This includes wooden beamed ceilings, stone walls, a wine cellar, a games room, a grand library along with a courtyard, tennis court and a swimming pool. On top of it all, Meghan also has an extra office space in the form of a sound-proof recording studio.
