Paul O’Grady’s death on 28 March 2023 from a sudden cardiac arrhythmia left everyone shocked. The star died ‘unexpectedly but peacefully’ at his home near Ashford, Kent. Ever since his death, many platforms, people and media have paid tribute to the For The Love of Dogs star. His daughter Sharon Mousley has now revealed the sweet way her son pays tribute to his grandfather.

Paul’s daughter revealed that her son Abel has adopted Paul’s ringtone as his own. Meaning, that one of Paul’s favourite songs that he had set as his ringtone is adopted by Abel as well. Sharon said:

Paul had been a long-time presenter on BBC Radio 2 and music played a significant role in his life. As such, The Mirror confirmed, that even during his private funeral service at St Rumwold's Church in Bonnington, Kent, music was a great deal. The playlist included Meditation from the opera Thais, which Paul chose as his favourite piece of music when he appeared on Desert Island Discs in 2003.
Speaking to host Julian for a pre-recorded Boom Radio tribute show, Sharon added:
