Love Island Liam receives vile death threats over Casa Amor drama

WithCasa Amorback, the drama is turning up a notch in both villas. But sadly, some viewers of the show are once again taking things too far. Islander Liam Reardon—who is just 21 years old—has received a shocking wave of abuse on social media after being tempted by new girl Lillie in Casa Amor.

A family member of Liam’s—believed to be his sister Niamh who is running his account while he’s in the villa—took to his Instagram grid to speak out about the trolling. They wrote:

We are also gutted at the thought of Liam and Millie ending and are sending postive vibes into the villa.

We hope it’s not the end but we do hope they both find their perfect match even if that means it’s not together.

They continued:

With that being said please remember that this a reality television programme and Liam’s family and friends can see everything that’s being posted. There is really no need for nasty, vulgar and death related messages. Please keep it light and remember to be kind 🤞🏻✌🏻❤️

The post has received over 32,000 likes, with many fans commenting their support and outrage at the level of trolling Liam has been receiving. Ex-2021 Islander Danny Bibby also sent his support with three love-heart emojis beneath the post, while Jake Cornish’s account also supported with a heart.

Sadly, Liam isn’t the first 2021 Love Islander to receive this kind of trolling since the show has been back. Chloe Burrows’ family were forced to speak out in the first week of Love Island as she also received death threats in her Instagram DMs. Meanwhile, Aaron Francis’ family revealed that he had received a wave of disgusting racist comments during his time on the show.
