A family member of Liam’s—believed to be his sister Niamh who is running his account while he’s in the villa—took to his Instagram grid to speak out about the trolling. They wrote:

The post has received over 32,000 likes, with many fans commenting their support and outrage at the level of trolling Liam has been receiving. Ex-2021 Islander Danny Bibby also sent his support with three love-heart emojis beneath the post, while Jake Cornish’s account also supported with a heart.

Sadly, Liam isn’t the first 2021 Love Islander to receive this kind of trolling since the show has been back. Chloe Burrows’ family were forced to speak out in the first week of Love Island as she also received death threats in her Instagram DMs. Meanwhile, Aaron Francis’ family revealed that he had received a wave of disgusting racist comments during his time on the show.
