Responses to Love Island’s post
However, the post received mixed responses from both fans and former Islanders, with many accusing producers of putting Islanders’ mental health at risk by stirring up drama. Former Islanders Niall Aslam and Jordan Adefeysian, who both appeared on Love Island series 4 in 2018, were among those to criticise the show in the comments section.
Meanwhile Priscilla Anyabu—who appeared on Winter Love Island in 2020—commented praising Love Island’s ‘amazing support & aftercare for its contestants & their family’. Fellow ex-Islanders George Day and Idris Virgo also posted supportive comments beneath the post.
