On 6 and 7 July 2023, viewers were surprised to not find Lorraine Kelly presenting Lorraine. Instead, the viewers were welcomed by Christine Lampard, the show’s regular stand-in.
It’s not the first time that Lorraine didn't present her own show but this time viewers were a bit confused as to what was the reason. Indeed, in February 2023, Lorraine Kelly was sent home after she took ill and she then proceeded to take the half-term break off.

Indeed, taking off this time is usually reserved for parents of small children. For example, Holly Willoughby, host of This Morning, also on ITV, has children still in school. However, Lorraine Kelly’s only child is an adult.

Here the Twitter user references the case the TV host was involved in concerning her taxes. In 2019, the BBC reported that Kelly won ‘a row over a £1.2m tax bill.’ The ruling was controversial because the judge ruled in Kelly’s favour because she could be classified as a ‘theatrical artist.’ The judge continued:
