Katie Price reveals the 'worst torment' of her life amid bankruptcy and cost-of-living crisis

The 44-year-old former glamour model has recently admitted to the high bills she has to pay for her Mucky Mansion amidst her bankruptcy woes. Katie has reportedly blamed her exes for her downfall.

Mucky’s bills

Katie Price is reportedly paying thousands of pounds every ‘four five weeks’ to heat up her Mucky Mansion. The cost of keeping the 19-room farmhouse warm and cosy burns a hole in Katie’s pocket, according to The Sun.

Speaking in an interview, Katie confirmed:

I’ve got the radiators on full but it’s crazy, the oil heating bill’s three grand every four or five weeks.

According to the UK government, a typical household can expect to pay around £2,500 for energy bills every year. Katie’s Mucky Mansion was bought by her in 2014 and due to years of neglect, floods and cash flow problems the house is in a mess right now and barely habitable.

Exes are the reason

This comes after Katie openly accepted that her exes are the reason for her downfall. The mum-of-five – who still owes millions to creditors – has blamed her exes for her financial woes. Mirror reported that she spoke with ‘raw emotion’ when she said she really hates her ‘gloating’ exes.

Katie – who has had a string of failed romances – said:

You don’t have to be a genius to work out that men are the downfall in my life. A million per cent. All my dramas, my bankruptcy — everything is men. Always men. That is it.

When you see exes gloat around, knowing you’ve paid for stuff, that’s the worst torment for me.

Katie has spent a lot of money due to her failed romance – ‘spending it on them to keep them, paying lawyers to divorce them and funding hefty settlements.’ She has been married thrice and engaged eight times with her latest beau being former Love Island contestant Carl Woods – who she split with last month.
