Excerpts from Elton John’s biography have been hitting the headlines recently. In his autobiography, the singer tells a fascinating story about a party he was at during which Sylvester Stallone and Richard Gere were competing for Princess Diana’s attention. But he also used this book to reveal some quite worrying statements about Michael Jackson which have been picked up by several media sources.

The Independent has already published some explosive excerpts from The Rocketman’s new biography. At first, he only had good things to say about The King Of Pop. He explains how he met the young star when he was still a teenager and what a lovely child he was at the time. But that was where the compliments ended.

Lady Di's best friend then became even more explicit.
‘God knows what was going on in his head, and God knows what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of, but every time I saw him in his later years, I came away thinking the poor guy had totally lost his marbles.’

Elton John also describes some of the problems that the King of Pop was going through in his adult life. He explains that Jackson once attended one of his parties, but Michael didn’t seem interested in him or the guests at all. He didn’t touch any of the food and decided to play with Elton John’s housekeeper’s 11-year-old son instead.

Elton John goes on to describe how Jackson just wandered off from the party and was found two hours later by the housekeeper playing video games with his son. The singer said, ‘For whatever reason, he couldn’t seem to cope with the adult company at all.’
