Donald Trump allegedly eats fast food because of his 'potent fear of being poisoned'
More under this adIt’s no secret that Donald Trump loves fast food but there’s a deeper reason behind it than just wanting salty and greasy food. A former Trump aide revealed the real reason why he eats so much fast food.
Trump’s love for fast food is well-known and documented. Anybody who has even the slightest interest in the president-elect knows his go-to McDonalds order—two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish burgers, and a chocolate malted shake. From McDonald’s Big Macs to KFC buckets and diet coke, Trump’s diet is famously indulgent and has become a part of his persona.

The real reason behind Donald Trump’s fast-food indulgence
In a book by Michael Wolff, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the American journalist made many revelations about the incoming President. Released in 2018, the book stated that Trump likes to eat fast food because he has a longtime fear of being poisoned, reports The Independent.
Eating at popular fast food chains ensures that there is no chance of anyone tampering with his food as no one knows he would be eating there and the food is premade. An excerpt of Wolff’s book read:

Not just Wolff, former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson also made the same revelation on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2023. According to Yahoo! and The Hill, Cassidy revealed that his fear of being poisoned has made him more inclined towards ‘small Heinz glass ketchup bottles.’ She explained:

So he uses and prefers the small Heinz glass ketchup bottles because he likes to hear his valet or whoever’s serving him his meal, he likes to hear the ‘pop.’
Donald Trump’s paranoia revealed
Wolff’s book also sheds light on many aspects of Trump’s personality including his seemingly paranoid side. For instance, the former POTUS didn’t want the White House staff touching anything in his room ‘especially not his toothbrush.’

He would let housekeeping know when he wanted his sheets to be done and would strip his own bed, reports The Guardian.
Other revelations from the book include how Trump and Melania had separate bedrooms in the White House, which may be the case once again, how he would be in bed by 6.30 pm with a cheeseburger ‘watching his three screens and making phone calls’.
