Sharon meets Ozzy

Sharon and Ozzy met while she was working for her father’s recording studio. He was Black Sabbath’s manager at the time. According to People, a decade after they met Ozzy was kicked out of Black Sabbath due to substance abuse issues. This will be a recurring problem throughout his life and marriage.

Sharon stepped in after Ozzy went on a three-month binge and helped him sort out his drug problem. In the same year, she became his manager and ushed him to pursue a solo career which started successfully through the release of the now iconic song Crazy Train. They began dating soon after. They would go on to have three children together.

Trouble in paradise

A few years later, during another bout of substance abuse, Ozzy Osbourne attacked Sharon and tried to strangle her. She called the police but she didn’t press charges. He was ordered to complete three months of rehab. This alone would break up any couple, however Sharon remained by his side. While talking to The Guardian she stated:

He was totally insane from all the drinking and drugs he was doing, and well, these things happen.

A new path

Nearly a decade after the incident the Osbourne family was approached by MTV to star in a reality show. The Osbournes premiered in 2002 and became an enormous success. The show would not only give Ozzy Osbourne a boost by introducing him to a younger audience but it would also launch Shannon and their two children Jack and Kelly into the limelight.

The show ran for four years and then the family stepped away from public life until rumours began to circulate that a potential divorce could happen. The family initially denied this. But Sharon and Ozzy would end up splitting briefly due to infidelity.

Ozzy moved out of the family house and would later be treated for ’sex addiction’ after multiple affairs. In 2016, the couple got back together and renewed their vows a year later.

In 2023, the couple celebrated 41 years of marriage; a volatile relationship that lasted four decades against all odds.

What is Sharon and Ozzy up to now?

Sharon Osbourne recently opened up about her current relationship with Ozzy. When asked about intimacy, she admitted that she isn’t as willing to have sex with her husband anymore. According to Daily Mail, when asked if they still have sex she simply replied:

Both Sharon and Ozzy are in their 70s so it is completely normal for things to slow down at this age, especially after 40 years of marriage and a rock and roll pace. Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and has had a number of health problems in the past few years including a spinal tumor. He stated a year ago:
